Membership Policy

We ask all new subscribers to carefully read the following document. These are the guidelines that keep our CSA running smoothly, and you will be responsible for knowing them.

The Philosophy of CSA – Community supported agriculture is a relationship one step above a simple convenience, a give and take of produce for cash. It is based on mutual respect between the customers and the farmers. Under the CSA model, subscribers pay in advance for the food they will receive, reflecting the risk that the farm takes to plant, tend, and harvest crops.

Payments: We use a web-based software program called Farmigo to help manage the financial interactions between our customers and our farm. With it, Greenmoore Gardens subscribers have online access to their own accounts. We accept payment via Paypal or check.

Cancellation/Refunds: You may cancel your membership anytime before the first pickup/delivery of the season. You will receive a full refund via check minus $50.00. The $50.00 will cover the cost associated with transaction fees and administrative costs. You may also request a refund during the first two weeks of deliveries. If you cancel your membership during this period you will receive a full refund minus $50.00 and the weekly cost of any shares/options that you have already received. After two weeks, no refunds will be given.

Missed Share: If a member fails to pick-up their share within the designated time frame, no refunds will given. However, we will leave shares in the farm cooler after pick-up hours and you may go into the pick-up building to retrieve them. Only take shares/options with your name on them. You can also contact the farm if you need to pick-up the share the following day, but this should only be in rare circumstances.

Account on hold: You can put your membership on hold at anytime through your online account. We will not harvest food for you during the specified period, and you will not be expected to come to the pick-up site. However, we will not refund you for these missed weeks. Instead, we will make your subsequent shares larger to cover the cost of your missed weeks.

Pick-up/Delivery Location Change: If you wish to change  your pick-up or delivery site, please e-mail us first. We will try to accommodate your requests as best as possible. Please notify us immediately if you know that you are moving to a new location, and are a member that receives household deliveries.
