Brassicas

Also known as the Crucifer family named for the four petalled flowers they produce.  Brassicas make up a large portion of our garden vegetables.  Without them, it would be hard to have the kind of variety we have in the spring, fall and winter.  The variations are great in this family.  But from greens, to roots, to bulbs, to heads, the brassica pungency is always present.
